Project Description

Oracle has long been a staunch supporter of The World Bee Project and was making even bigger technology commitments to deepen that support.

Using the data captured by Oracle’s technology we crafted an augmented reality (AR) experience that immersed the audience in the vibrant world of a bustling beehive. The intricate behaviors of bees were showcased vividly on stage, placing their story at the forefront.

My Role

This was quite a lengthy project and I was involved in many of the key aspects including:

• Writing most of the core code that drove the presentation (C#)
• Modelling, texturing and animating the hive among other elements
• Animating the bees’ various actions within the presentation including swarming
• Coordinating tasks for other members of the team and managing the workflow
